Records were the dominant sound medium worldwide, especially from the 1960s to the 1990s. The LPs (long-playing records) by international artists have shaped the respective cultural mood for decades. Even if you only have one of the old original LPs from the 1960s (Beatles, Rolling Stones etc.), the 1970s (Abba, Supertramp, Eagles etc.), the 1980s (Michael Jackson, Iron Maiden etc.) or from the 1990s (Nirvana etc.) in your hands today in 2024, you can literally feel the spirit of that time.
